Welcome to Baxter Elementary and another great school year! I look forward to sharing a wonderful year of learning with you. Our teachers are continually looking for new and creative ways to engage our students and get them excited about learning. We have high expectations for all our students and in order to ensure success, this year will be a joint effort between the students, teachers, administrators, and parents. We will have a year filled with love, laughter, and great memories.

I feel honored to serve the students, staff, and parents of T.E. Baxter Elementary. I have been in the education field since 2010. During this time, I was a classroom teacher, mentor teacher, professional development coordinator/leader, coach, teacher, SEL specialist, consultant and currently Assistant Principal.
I graduated from National University in San Diego, CA with my bachelor's in early childhood education. During the early years of my career, we were an active-duty Marine Corps family which relocated us to North Carolina! I pursued my ECE and my elementary license with East Carolina University in Wilmington, NC. Finally moving to Texas, I received my master's in education from the University of Texas at Arlington.
My husband and I are high school sweethearts with two children, one boy and one girl, both MISD students and our three dogs!!
